Amazon Studios is the movies and television development and production arm of Amazon. The Data Management Office is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, technically skilled, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Data Analyst to join our faced-paced dynamic team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, relishes diving into the minute details of data structures and taxonomies, enjoys the challenge of complex business context and workflows, and, above all else, is passionate about data and data governance. This role will be pivotal in supporting the end-to-end content lifecycle within Amazon Studios by mastering authoritative records, maintaining and communicating the highest data standards, and identifying opportunities for increased data management efficiency and data hygiene.


Key job responsibilities
  • Creation of master records and maintenance of data integrity
  • Development of data submission, authoring, and collection processes and data management systems
  • Development of standardized data taxonomies, ontologies, hierarchies, and models
  • Research, catalog, and map existing data source fields to standardized taxonomy
  • Maintenance of authoritative title catalog, party catalog, and reference data lists
  • In depth research of title and party metadata and data structures
  • Documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and data authorship guidelines
  • Data mining and problem solving

Basic Qualifications


  • 1+ years of experience in financial/business analysis
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
  • Experience in SQL or ETL
  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Bachelor's Degree in Library Science, Computer Science or similar analytical field
  • MS Office experience required
  • Experience working with large data sets
  • Demonstrated experience developing documentation and SOPs
  • Demonstrated experience in design and execution of analytical projects
  • Proven analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage a broad range of tasks and a track record of efficiently meeting deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of work experience in Media & Entertainment
  • 3+ years as a business or data analyst
  • Robust knowledge of film and TV workflows, industry roles, and media-related organizations
  • Experience working with master data management tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile development environment and to learn new concepts, workflows, and use cases
