You will be working in a frequently evolving agile environment working to help Huboo scale as a global business. You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle: to analyse, design, develop, test, and deploy software as part of an autonomous team.
You will be joining an energetic and dynamic team in our offices in central Bristol. We are looking for someone with lots of enthusiasm with a desire to learn and succeed, a focused mind and a “Can Do” attitude.
Our new Data Scientist/Analyst will work closely within our Analytics team, which sits as part of the Data department. The data department is broken in Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Automation/Modelling and Support. They will be making a positive impact on our clients and people.
Key responsibilities for a Data Scientist/Analyst:
- Conduct robust analyses that follow a structured process: data validation,
data exploration, data transformation, data visualisation, and
communicating results - Interacting with operation managers, customers, prospects (alongside
salespeople and subject matter experts) and other stakeholders to understand how data analysis techniques can be used to meet their
needs, using data collected by our platform - Working closely with our Head of Data Science to research and design
analytical models and prototypes - Automate data integrity, data normalisation and analytics using Advanced
BI tools and Python programming - Developing ad-hoc analyses - often under time pressure - to help our
subject matter experts deliver insights to prospects and to clients
Requirements
What we look for in a Data Scientist/Analyst:
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation
- Used packages: Numpy, Pandas, Seaborn, Matplotlib, Dash, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy & SciPy
- A solid knowledge of dashboard creation and data analytics (e.g., Plotly,
bokeh, d3.js). Experience with time series data analysis - An understanding of Restful API for automating data extraction from 3-party
software and creation of data pipelines - Fluency in SQL
- Exposure to working with large, complex, and messy data sets
- Experience working in an agile software development environment
- Technologies: Docker, Git version control
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field (2:1 min)
- Comfortable learning new tools, research new ideas and stay up to date
with industry developments - Experience using Python for application development and APIs (Flask,
SQLAlchemy, etc) - Experience with BI tools, such as PowerBI and Tableau
- Experience with CI/CD and automation tools such as GitLab CI/CD
- Front-end application development languages (HTML/ CSS, JavaScript) and
frameworks, specially Vue.js. - MySQL and noSQL databases, such as MongoDB
Desirables for a Data Scientist/Analyst:
- Experience using Python for application development and APIs (Flask,

- Experience with CI/CD and automation tools such as GitLab CI/CD
