About Unmind

Unmind is a workplace mental health platform. We empower employees to live more fulfilling and balanced lives by changing the way organisations around the world think about mental health. We believe that everyone has the right to a healthy mind – because we all have mental health, all of the time – and we’re striving to create a world where mental health is universally understood, nurtured, and celebrated.

In the past 12 months, Unmind has grown from a 30 person team to a fast-growing, 200 person global organisation with offices in London, Sydney, and New York. With the recent announcement of our Series B funding, we're looking forward to our next stage of growth which will enable us to deliver on our mission to improve the mental wellbeing of ten million people in organisations around the world.

We have ambitious plans to change the perception of mental health and we still need help in achieving them– which is why we’re looking for an exceptional individual to join as a Data Analytics Manager.

Uniting Behind Uniqueness

We are committed to building an inclusive workplace and encourage everyone to bring their whole selves to work. However you identify, and whatever background you bring with you, we welcome you to apply for a role at Unmind.

If there are any adjustments that would help improve your experience with Unmind, please do let us know when you apply.

The Role – Data Analytics Manager

The core mission of the Data team is to provide actionable insights to all Unmind Teams that drive product and business decisions that will help us build the best version of Unmind.

We currently have three Data sub-functions at Unmind: Data Analytics, Data Science, and Data Engineering.

We are now looking for a strategically minded and people-focused Data Analytics Manager to lead and scale our Data Analytics sub-function.

Things you'll do in this role

We’re scaling quickly, which means that the focus and responsibilities of any position can be quite dynamic – but here’s how we initially see your skills and passion coming to life at Unmind:

Leading & Building Effective Teams - You will initially be managing one team consisting of three data analysts. While scaling the sub-function, your main goal is to support-, unblock and inspire inclusive and fulfilled analysts while steering them to deliver end-to-end data products and effective analytical solutions.

Collaboration - You will work cross-functionally with senior business stakeholders across Product Development, Client Success, and Commercial Operations to drive data-informed decision making.

Delivery & Strategic Planning - You will collaborate with delivery managers and stakeholders in quarterly planning, sprint planning, and setting OKRs for your team(s). You will work closely with the Head of Data to refine and execute our data strategy and analytics roadmap.

Technical Involvement - Given the size of the data analytics team as of now, your technical involvement at the start will be reasonably hands-on, i.e. reviewing the team’s work and contributing to their technical direction. As you scale the team, you will mainly find yourself in technical discussions as a mentor, coach or when collaborating on delivery planning.

Skills and Experience

We firmly believe that no one is the finished article and that there should be learning in every role you do. However, some experience in the following is important for the role.

  • Experience in leading and scaling data analytics teams - with a focus on people, DE&I, culture, and strategy
  • Experience in supervising end to end data flows and leveraging industry-leading tools to transform data into successful strategies for effective decision-making across product development and the commercial function.
  • Good understanding of agile ways of working to improve the team’s impact, efficiency, and satisfaction
  • Strong technical background with a focus on advanced analytics and reporting (e.g. data wrangling and modelling, product analytics & BI tools)
  • Passionate about mental health, tech-for-good, and generally improving people’s lives
