We have a young and dynamic, culturally diverse team that is based in Sydney, Poland and soon to be established in the US.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented machine learning engineer to join our close-knit, friendly AI team and optimize our machine learning systems. You will be evaluating existing machine learning (ML) processes, performing statistical analysis and retraining the models to resolve customer needs
To ensure success as a machine learning engineer, you should demonstrate solid data science knowledge and experience in a related ML role. A first-class machine learning engineer will be someone whose expertise translates into the enhanced performance of predictive automation software.
This position is focused on designing, training, implementing and maintaining various conventional and deep learning models using best practices and new technologies while also being tasked with edge device integration for hybrid A.I. solutions. All of this ability comes together to ensure Unleash live customers have an optimal and insightful experience when they use our platform.
What you will do
- Designing machine learning systems and self-running artificial intelligence (AI) software to automate predictive models
- Transforming data science prototypes and applying appropriate ML algorithms and tools
- Test and implement state-of-the-art deep learning architectures into the Unleash live core engine
- Optimise the deployed models, libraries and frameworks to be run in real-time environments on live stream video
- Ensuring that algorithms generate accurate user recommendations
- Deploying and maintain models in cloud based infrastructure such as AWS
- Running tests, performing statistical analysis, benchmarking, and interpreting test results
- Consulting with managers to determine and refine machine learning objectives
- Documenting machine learning processes
- Keeping abreast of developments in machine learning

What will help you succeed
- Bachelor's, Master’s or PHD in computer science or similar, alternatively a comparable industry career with a proven track record of successful projects
- 3+ years of experience as a machine learning engineer
- Advanced proficiency with Python code writing
- Extensive knowledge of ML frameworks, libraries, data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.
- In-depth knowledge of mathematics, statistics, and algorithms
- Comfortable working in a fast paced deployment centric environment exploring the unknown
- Right to work in Australia Preferred
- Proficiency with a deep learning framework such as Pytorch, Tensorflow or ONNX
- Experience deploying AI models on cloud and edge infrastructure
- Expertise in visualizing and manipulating big datasets
- Familiarity with Linux
