Role Description
As a financial analyst you will analyze Pagaya’s complex data sets and derive meaningful insights on Pagaya’s assets. You will work with various stakeholders in order to provide valuable analysis to answer financial, business and data questions. You will be part of a team working on providing automated solutions for operational teams in different verticals. You will define data needs and suggest improvements to the different financial processes. You will run end to end projects within the financial operations department.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and analyze large datasets across multiple internal/external sources using Python and various tools (BI tools, SQL, and Excel)
- Demonstrate the ability to present and provide meaningful business insights from data
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions
- Manage and run cross-company financial projects
- Suggest improvement of processes by implementing changes and automation
- Learn and understand the business and suggest improvements
- Support ongoing data analysis requests by means of python coding running on big data sets
- Evaluate, drive and operationalize Pagaya’s financial efforts through all of its financial instruments and investment channels
Qualifications
- +2 years of experience as an analyst
- +1 year of experience with Python and SQL - A MUST
- Finance, Economics, Statistics or a related degree, MBA – advantage
- Able to learn new subjects quickly, capable of self-management and deliver on time and of quality
- Good knowledge of financial and statistical concepts
- Great analytical skills
- Independent and out of the box thinker
- Very high level of English (verbal and written)
- Full control in Office programs - Advanced Excel
- Experience in data modeling ETL development and data warehousing – advantage
- Experience in BI tools such as tableau, looker, Power BI or similar – advantage
