Job description:

The Data Engineering team is responsible for building and maintaining our enterprise level data infrastructure and tools, ensuring the highest level of data integrity and availability throughout the company.

What will you be doing:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve various data engineering solutions and complex data pipelines 
• Build applications and processes to move and transform data of different formats between various systems 
• Build, maintain, and manage solid data monitoring solutions to ensure a high level of data quality 
• Analyze and decompose complex software systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence solid data architecture and solve the most complex and challenging data problems
• Work with Snowflake, AWS (Amazon Aurora, RDS MySQL, DynamoDB, Lambda, Step Functions) Looker, Datadog and other data and analytics platforms 
• Analyze data to support the decision-making process of the business and the technology team 
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables

You are a match if:

• 3+ years of experience as Data Engineer or in a closely related role 
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience working with a variety of databases, including relational databases like MySQL, NoSQL databases like DynamoDB and data warehouses (preferably Snowflake) 
• Experience in designing data models and choice of respective data formats  
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with the Pandas library 
• Experience working with AWS (specifically, but not limited to: Firehose, Athena, Glue, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Step Functions, DMS) 
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with the Pandas library

• Experience with BI tools (preferably Looker)  
• Fluent in the English language  
• Well structured and good analytical capabilities  
• Good communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude 
• Eager to learn new technologies and concepts and the ability to adapt to a changing work environment 
• Constantly striving for high data quality

Requirements:

• Experience with database administration 
• Experience with database schema integration and schema matching 
• Experience with data monitoring solutions (e.g. Datadog), data validation and data quality assurance 
• Distributed data processing (e.g. Apache Spark) 
• Event stream processing (e.g. Apache Kafka) 
• dbt (Data Build Tool) 
• Basic knowledge in the area of machine learning
