The Marketing Data Analyst is responsible for end-to-end analysis of internal and external data, modeling and reporting actionable insights. This position will be a partner to both business and technical stakeholders as a member of a Marketing Analytics team that prides themselves as collaborative and helpful experts in their respective areas of expertise. This role will also lend their expertise to optimizing data structures, quality assurance, and visualization to enable business stakeholders to derive value from our modern and evolving technical stack.

What you'll do:
- Partner closely with Marketing stakeholders to develop and refine reporting, insights, targeting, and experimentation across our SEO/SEM, Display, Social Media, TV, Radio, OOH, Email, and Direct Mail campaigns
- Leverage data and analytics to gain a deep understanding of our business, uncover short and long-term trends, and help drive critical business decision-making for business stakeholders
- Help tell stories with data, with ability to immerse yourself with ezCater’s vast database, pulling together relevant datasets using SQL, conducting analysis on the data to extract key insights, and assembling insights a compelling narrative and communicating it effectively to key stakeholders
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Product, and Engineering to understand business stakeholders’ reporting needs and provide analyses to unlock actionable insights to support and drive both strategic and tactical data-driven decision making
- Use SQL and/or other statistical programming languages to proactively identify trends and opportunities through analysis of our first and third party customer data
- Build reports, dashboards, and alerts to monitor and inform key performance success metrics
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to build and maintain data infrastructure (data pipelines, aggregated data sets, reports, dashboards)
What you have:
- 2+ years experience in analytics, ideally as a data analyst or marketing analyst or other analytics/consulting roles in e-commerce, marketplace, or SaaS environments
- Strong SQL skills are necessary and any experience with Tableau or another common BI tool is strongly preferred
- Experience with BI Tool implementation, including self-service design patterns, data modeling & stakeholder change management is preferred
- Experience with statistical analysis (hypothesis testing, predictive modeling, time series analysis, data modeling techniques) is preferred; familiarity with R, Python, DataRobot or other statistical programming languages is a plus
- Experience in Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager is a plus
- Experience with Snowflake, DBT, AWS is a plus
- Excellent critical thinking and stakeholder management skills - ability to break down and communicate complex ideas and influence senior leaders and cross-functional partners
- Ability to deal with ambiguity; a self-starter with the ability to quickly respond to problems independently, consider all stakeholder needs, and answer the “so what” questions
- A sharp mind, a soft heart and a large funny bone
