We are seeking a Data Architect, with a startup mindset; you will work closely with other highly collaborative team members like engineers, data scientists, business development leads, and sales to understand what the business is trying to achieve, and design optimal data platforms, data models, and provide analytical solutions. This position is 100% remote, based in Brazil, and will report to the CTO.

As the Data Architect, you will...

  • Own data warehouse plans for a product or a group of products.
  • Design metadata-driven ELT/ETL framework to automate the data ingestion with an emphasis on data quality, monitoring, and scalability.
  • Provide technical leadership to a team of business data modelers and data engineers on solutions design and implementation.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers, to understand data needs.
  • Build data expertise and own data quality for allocated areas of ownership.
  • Design, build and launch new data models in production.
  • Design, build and launch new data extraction, transformation, and loading processes in production.
  • Measure impact along various dimensions by building logging, core datasets, and dashboards.
  • Work with engineering, information security, and data privacy teams to design and enhance cloud data infrastructure to address data privacy and security.
  • Always be on the lookout to automate and improve existing data processes for quicker turnaround and high productivity.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in custom ETL design, implementation, and maintenance and object-oriented programming languages.
  • 5+ years of experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling.
  • Knowledge in SQL statements, and relational databases technologies such as MySQL, AWS RDS, Cloud SQL. 
  • Experience working with business stakeholders across functional organizations to develop a data roadmap.
  • Experience with designing complex data models and data integration solutions for enterprise data warehouse/data lakes from various heterogeneous data sources.
  • Hands-on experience in leading large-scale full-cycle cloud enterprise data warehousing (EDW) projects. AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake.
  • Experience with data integration, business intelligence, and analytics tools, and/or any other open-source and self-service analytics tool.
  • Experience in designing data models with experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English required.
  • An agile, flexible, and responsive approach to work.
