What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for a talented and driven AI Intern to work closely with our Technology team to evaluate, assess, and identify opportunities for AI integration within Cloud9. The AI Intern will analyze Cloud9’s infrastructure to determine readiness for AI scaling and propose AI-driven solutions for internal processes. 

The ideal candidate must be attending a four-year college/university or a recent graduate and have a passion for competitive esports. The AI Intern will report to the Software Engineer.

This hybrid full-time internship opportunity will begin on 6/17/2024 and conclude on 9/6/2024.

What You’ll Do:

• Assess existing AI implementations within the organization to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
• Analyze the organization's hardware infrastructure, software tools, and cloud services to determine their readiness for AI scaling.
• Make recommendations for upgrades or optimizations to support AI initiatives effectively.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify internal processes that can benefit from AI integration and propose AI-driven solutions to streamline these processes
• Other responsibilities to be assigned.

Requirements

• Completed at least 3 years of college/university-level education (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Must be local to Los Angeles.
• Must be available to work in the office for a minimum of two days per week.
• Prior experience with AI projects
• Familiarity with:

• Coding and Implementation
• AI Concepts, Data Science, Modeling, Mathematical understanding
• Esports and gaming
• High growth-oriented mindset with a strong internal need for achievement. Self-directed in their quest for meaningful challenges and goals versus reactively awaiting direction, or measuring selves by status quo.
• Applying intelligence to practical, real-world scenarios, where a “book solution” doesn’t necessarily exist. The ability to solve problems, in a timely manner, with an incomplete picture.
• The inclination to question the status quo in pursuit of better information or more innovative solutions. The priority of learning, evidenced by improving the products, processes, and procedures around you.
• Capability of adjusting behavior and actions according to what the situation requires. The ability to do the role as it requires today, but the capability and mindset to learn and grow into what it will require with new demands and scenarios.

• The wage for this role incorporates the multiple factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The compensation for this internship is $19.00 per hour.
