We’re looking for an experienced machine learning engineer to join our team. The primary role of this position is to develop intelligent machine learning algorithms in user health data to discover patterns, recommend care plans and predict outcomes. 
The ideal candidate is a driven and talented machine learning engineer with a proven research track record, an ability to quickly solve difficult technical problems and a hunger to use machine learning ethically to positively impact thousands of lives. They have a deep understanding of machine learning and continually endeavor to learn about the latest developments. They have experience with a broad range of ML topics such as recommender systems, supervised and unsupervised learning models, reinforcement learning, natural language processing, etc. They are skilled in computer programming and are adept with relevant tools for data analysis, model training and deployment.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

• Build predictive models that can be used to predict a specific outcome with high accuracy.
• Continually refine existing models by building in and advocating for feedback collection. 
• Identify underlying insights revealed by analyzing model weights and structures - revealing why the models make the predictions they do.
• Communicate and evangelize new ML models and approaches across the company.
• Manage, wrangle, and pre-process multiple data sources so that the resulting data is appropriately formatted for machine learning and advocate for new data (fields/types) that would unlock new insights.
• Understand, demonstrate and explain execution performance and execution limitations of proposed model architectures in a production setting.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Skills: Python, Tensorflow/Pytorch (or other), at least 1 other language
• Behaviors: Versatile, resourceful and results-driven

BONUS POINTS

• Demonstrated experience in natural language processing (NLP)
• Demonstrated experience working with user and/or personal health data
• Experience deploying production ML systems
• Experience in C++ (or another system level language)
• Published works in top ML publications
