Machine Learning Algorithm Developer

Vimeo is looking for a Machine Learning Algorithm developer to join our Applied AI team.
The Applied AI team at vimeo is focused on unlocking video understanding for a large variety of use cases and scale. Using multiple modalities, such as visual, audio and text, the team is responsible to design, build and deliver models to Vimeo platform which allow content based applications to emerge, and to put more video power onto the hands of Vimeo’s users.
In this role, you will be a key contributor in developing the full cycle of machine learning models, combining all video modalities, such as vision, text and audio from research to production.

What you’ll do:

• Build, tune, deploy and optimize ML models under the constraints of scalability, correctness, and maintainability, with hardware acceleration techniques. 
• Leverage your experience to drive best software development practices in ML systems.
• Collaborate with cross functional agile teams of Researchers, machine learning engineers, video engineers, data engineers, and others, in building machine learning applications on a large scale.

Skills and knowledge you should possess:

• 2+ years of experience working on development of machine learning/ computer vision / deep-learning related products.
• M.Sc. degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field or B.Sc with relevant experience.
• Passionate about AI and Machine learning products. 
• Deep understanding of the best practices for ML systems productization.
• Good familiarity with relevant ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc).
• Great communication skills and a proven record of working across disciplines.

Bonus Points: 

• Experience in working with Video processing.
• Proficient in working with cloud platforms, dockers, and Kubernetes.
• Experience in building high performance distributed systems at scale.
