About the role:

• Identifying valuable data sources, processing, cleansing, and validating the integrity of data to be used for analysis
• Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
• Identify potential Machine Learning (ML) use cases based on the available datasets and build predictive models
• Present information using data visualization techniques
• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams
• Understand our products deeply, and be capable of comprehending how product features and usage translate to data
• Participate in strategic and high-impact projects to enrich the team’s product and service offerings and increase productivity
• Operate in and support the agile project environment
• Be an influencer within your team who continuously comes up with recommendations on how to do things better and acts upon those recommendations
• Act as an advocate of data-driven decision making, foster a healthy data culture, and promote the importance of data science

About you:

• Preferably 3+ years of experience in related roles (e.g: Data Scientist/Data Analyst, ML Engineer etc.)
• Strong analytical, statistical, and troubleshooting skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Python for data/statistical analysis and experience with data science tools, such as NumPy, Pandas, SciKit-Learn etc.
• Experience with any of the following areas:
• Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques -Intent Recognition, Text Classification, Sentiment Analysis- and knowledge of related tools (SpaCy, NLTK, HuggingFace, transformer models…)
• Familiarity with recommender systems (collaborative filtering, content-based etc.)
• Experience with building production-ready supervised/unsupervised ML models
• Proficiency in SQL queries and familiarity with data warehousing and data modeling concepts
• Passionate about working with social media datasets
