Your New Gig 💼

BANXA thrives on innovation. We're always looking for professionals with the can-do attitude to help our business work smarter and more efficiently. As the global BANXA business continues to grow, we’re searching for Data Scientists to join our growing Data Analytics team. Working within a highly collaborative environment,  you will partner with our  business units (Product, Sales, Development etc)  to help with anything within the analytics domain; from managing ad-hoc enquiries to operationalisation of large-scale machine learning models.  This position will give you full visibility over our dynamic business while also directly contributing to our strategy as we hyper scale and navigate within the fast moving web3 space.

What You'll Do 👀

• Work with different stakeholders to understand short-term and long-term strategy, and identify opportunities for data initiatives
• Mine large datasets to find insights and present findings and recommendations back to the business
• Design and execute experiments, including defining success criteria, deploying models, and measuring results
• Drive innovation, challenge the status quo, and get results

You should apply if ✅

• Experience using R or Python 
• Experience using SQL is advantageous
• Knowledge in any of the following: supervised and unsupervised learning, anomaly detection, clustering, and NLP
• Expertise in analysing data sets, quantitative analysis, data mining and creating data visualisations (ie. Tableau and Power BI) to tell stories and provide business insights
• Able to move, extract, manipulate and analyse data. Knowledge of ETL processes
• Demonstrated ability to work well within virtual and agile team environments
• Demonstrated experience consulting with stakeholders to design analytical products & solutions
• Strong communication and data-storytelling skills
• The ability to work with a high level of autonomy but also collaborate with the team
