As a sales analyst at Fluence you will work with cross-functional global team to gather and analyze sales and market data from multiple sources (e.g.Salesforce, Netsuite, Jira, Industry Reports) to extract trends and business insights. Your goal will be to help us improve our profitability and streamline our processes to keep customers and employees satisfied. To be successful in this role you should be detail-oriented, analytical, resourceful, entrepreneurial, and be able to effectively communicate the story behind data to a non-technical audience. 

As the Sales Data Analyst as Fluence, you will:

  • Working cross-functionally with key stakeholders to answer questions and build dashboards focused on active engagement with sales data.
  • Assembling large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements.
  • Building analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition.
  • Building required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using AWS and SQL technologies.
  • Owning a number of ongoing reports to key stakeholders including the executive leadership team.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.

What will you bring to Fluence?

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a quantitative/technical or business field (e.g. Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering).
  • 3+ years of experience building dashboards and visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Salesforce).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
  • Technical knowledge regarding data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Experience in working and delivering end-to-end projects independently.
  • Ability to easily move between business, data management, and technical teams; ability to quickly intuit the business use case and identify technical solutions to enable it.
  • You are a self-starter and like to move fast and iterate.
  • You have an interest in continuous improvement, innovation and simplification.
  • You have a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for the work products you create/implement.
  • You have humility, integrity, and the ability to be self-critical. 

Preferred Qulifications:

  • Advance degree and/or professional certification.
  • Experience writing complex, highly optimized queries across large datasets in a relational database (e.g. Snowflake, Redshit, MS Azure SQL, Oracle DB).
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc).
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools such as Salesforce.
