Senior Data Scientist (USA)

Salary range: $150k – $230k 

Equity range: 0.01% – 0.15%

What we are looking for:

As a Data Scientist you will analyze data, prototype machine learning models, design experiments, and collaborate with stakeholders to make business decisions. You turn vast amounts of structured and unstructured data from many sources (web data, geolocation, satellite imaging, etc.) into novel insights about behavior and risk.

• You have 5 or more years of experience in data science.
• You have used Frequentist or Bayesian statistics to analyze data, design experiments, and communicate with product stakeholders.
• You have classical machine learning and/or deep learning expertise, including techniques for feature selection, model selection, and inference explanation.
• You have managed data annotation campaigns.
• You have experience with BI reporting tools.
• You are experienced in Python, the PyData stack, and SQL.

• You value open, frank, and respectful communication.

As a plus:

• You have prior start-up experience.
• You have experience with data engineering and productizing machine learning models.
• You have insurance domain expertise.
• You have experience with AWS.
• You are familiar with web development, RESTful APIs, and micro-services.
