Research Engineer (Computer Vision - HD Neural Synthesis)

To take full advantage of this position, we are expanding our Research team in LA with multiple Research Engineers to contribute to novel AI-based graphics technology deployed at scale to turn science into unique business products.

Requirements

To succeed, you should have:

• Demonstrable 3+ years research experience (industry preferable) with Deep Learning and Computer Vision in the following:
  • Neural networks and transfer learning
  • Un-supervised/Self-supervised learning
  • GAN-based image synthesis esp. real-time methods
  • Super-resolution
  • Multi-scale architectures esp. for HD (2K/4K) image synthesis
  • Domain adaptation techniques
• Developed tools or solutions at scale for visual effects or real-world computer vision problems
• Scholarly work in CV and ML venues, e.g., Siggraph, ICCV, CVPR, ECCV, Eurographics, etc.
• Very good experience in Machine Learning and Deep Learning
• Excellent coding skills in Python
• Proficiency with DL frameworks such as PyTorch, Tensorflow, or Keras
• Good communication skills to collaborate in a team with Researchers, ML engineers, and VFX artists
• MS or Ph.D. in Visual Computing, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or related fields

You’ll shine if you have also experience with:

• Self and cross-domain attention models
• Multi-modal image synthesis esp. with audio-visual data
• 3D Vision and GANs
• AWS, GCP, and Docker
• Virtual environments such as Anaconda
• VFX tools such as Nuke
