Data Scientist Intern

We are building a platform that will transform the landscape of healthcare by simplifying transactions to free providers up to focus on what matters and improve the lives of patients. We are seeking an ambitious individual that is eager to get hands-on experience working with Natural Language Processing, including text extraction, annotation, and model-building.

Specifically, you will:

• Lead and support the text extraction process for identification of CPT/HCPC codes
• Assist in annotation and curation of large datasets
• Create and leverage NLP models for text extraction and semantic analysis

• Develop and evaluate language models

Requirements

• Second semester college junior or above, enrolled in a graduate program studying Computer Science, Electrical or Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or similar field leveraging computational programming
• Experience in model building/NLP with Python (or other equivalent languages)
• Experience in creating and maintaining large datasets
• Experience in unit testing outputs/models
• Experience leveraging public/private APIs
• Have excellent time management skills and detailed oriented
• Thrive in fast-paced environment while working in a collaborative team environment
