As a Data Analyst supporting the Brand and Product Marketing & Development teams, you will leverage data analytical expertise and problem structuring skills to translate data into business information. You will have the opportunity to make an impact on the business by developing insights that influence strategy and make recommendations that help grow Curology into one of the most loved and successful brands in skincare.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage analytical expertise and problem structuring skills to translate data into business information for the Marketing team
  • Build data models that can be used by marketing program owners to understand the efficacy of their programs; this includes responsibility for marketing campaign analytics execution and delivering actionable campaign insights
  • Create compelling statistical narratives on behalf of the brand and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure analysis is shared and data is translated into actionable insights
  • Help define KPIs for success measurement for the Marketing team; monitor key metrics & investigate changes in metrics, pulling out insights and proposing next steps
  • Distill large datasets into actionable insights for teams by building dashboards in reporting/analytic platforms for proactive and reactive needs
  • Build and publish interactive visualizations in Tableau that can be used by non-technical business users in a self-service manner to answer questions, identify trends, and download clean datasets for further use
  • Insightfully deliver actionable ad-hoc intelligence and recommendations to heads as needed
  • Drive continuous learning by proactively identifying opportunity areas, translating them into structured analysis, generating actionable insights, and advocating for proposed next steps to key stakeholders

Skills & Experience:

  • Data analytics experience with a degree in a quantitative discipline like Math, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Operations Research or equivalent  
  • Minimum 2 years of professional data analytics experience; bonus for experience in marketing analytics
  • SQL experience and a high level of comfort in manipulating/joining large data sets from different sources
  • A pro in data visualization tools like Tableau to represent marketing data in an easy to consume way for quick analysis of results and trends; able to story-tell with data
  • Interest in Brand Marketing and using data to assess success & optimize the performance of evergreen efforts as well as campaigns
  • Team player who can collaborate well cross-functionally
  • Self-starter with an ability to work autonomously in an unstructured environment
  • Experience leveraging data to deliver business value and present data-driven insights to business audiences
  • Extensive experience in Excel data modeling
