The HowGood Research team seeks an experienced data analyst. The selected candidate will be responsible for data wrangling, ingesting customer data, building before and after impact analyses for proposed metric changes, designing and running reports for customers, and assisting with ad-hoc projects as needed. This person will collaborate with the research and engineering teams on the responsibilities above with a focus on customer data cleaning and ingestion, and ongoing data management processes and data import practices. The candidate will have very good communication skills, and will be comfortable participating in a fast moving, business goal driven environment.
Applicants should have an interest and excitement in integrating a huge array of different sources, improving and standardizing processes, and a passion for sustainability and regenerative agriculture. HowGood’s data complexity is derived from the diversity of sources and the flexibility required to integrate each data source into HowGood’s best in class decision support software. Environmental impact data from established international NGO’s is processed alongside working condition reports at the county level, and the right candidate will be excited by the challenge and ready to creatively design additional solutions for standardizing the collection, cleaning, structuring and ingestion of data, and delivering new insights.

Looking for candidates who have:
- A minimum of 3 years of data work experience after graduation
- Analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to reprioritize as needed and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with different teams
- Technical writing skills
- Clear judgment based on priorities and context
- Attention to the right details
- Ability to overlap East coast hours
Required Skills:
- Strong mathematics skills (Masters level applied statistics preferred)
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Microsoft Excel
- High degree of comfort with data management and ETL techniques (data collection, cleaning, structuring, and enriching) and data ingestion
- Experience with QA/QC and data troubleshooting
- Reporting and data visualization skills, ideally using software like Kibana or Tableau
- Experience with Mac OS and Google suite
