Overview:

As a Data Analyst for Weedmaps.com (WDC) you will play a key role within the organization by using a data-driven approach to make strategic recommendations and drive understanding of our fast-growing business. You will be a key member of the team that WDC looks to for insights and strategic direction on user acquisition, marketplace engagement, and long-term retention across the Weedmaps ecosystem (web and app environments). In this role, you will be responsible for data-driven analysis and recommendations across all of the Weedmaps ecosystem.  Specifically, you will be supporting the Business Intelligence team as we scale, this looks like using a deep knowledge of Tableau to tell compelling data stories.

You are a self-starter, as well as a deeply analytical and detail-oriented person.  Teamwork and collaboration are integral to your method of solving problems.  Moving the intractable to the 'solved' is your passion.

The impact you'll make:

• Live and breathe the data
• Own a direction of deep dive analysis and reporting for the Business Intelligence team, in a highly collaborative environment.  
• Responsible for “translating” and visualizing the raw data and analytics to actionable insights at both the strategic and tactical levels
• Collaborate with the business to define specifications, data goals, and success metrics for projects, and transform these into actionable insights.
• Be resourceful and creative working with disparate data sources, yet remain focused on maintaining a high degree of craftsmanship and quality.

What you've accomplished:

• 3+ years experience as a Business or Data Analyst
• Deep expertise with SQL and working with databases is a must
• Strong technical ability working with very large data sets, including statistical analyses, data visualization, data mining, and data cleansing/transformation
• Excellent communication skills and ability to digest complex data on behalf of cross functional stakeholders and efficiently deliver clear concise insights
• Relentlessly high standards, and always striving for the next level
• Self-starter who proactively demonstrates initiative, entrepreneurship, and tenacity in a fast moving environment
• Experience with Tableau or similar visualization tools is desirable
• Experience with B2B data is a plus

Bonus points:

• Experience with Salesforce.com data desirable
