Kaia is a mission-focused health technology company.
Our story began in 2016, when our founders Konstantin Mehl and Manuel Thurner, set out on a mission to bring affordable and accessible relief to millions of people with chronic conditions.  No strangers to chronic pain themselves, they decided to innovate ways to remove the obstacles many people experience in getting the leading-edge care they need in order to live their best lives.
How do Kaia apps work? Kaia uses a dynamic AI-powered algorithm. Our programs are based on multimodal rehabilitation, a holistic approach to managing chronic conditions. Our users have easy access via smartphone and tablet to our programs for back/hip/knee pain and COPD using this evidence-based approach.
Five years into our story, we are a leader in digital therapeutics, with 500,000+ users worldwide. Having raised $125 million from investors such as Optum Ventures, idInvest, and Balderton Capital. We are poised to create a global footprint in digital self-care; Kaia is patient empowerment made easy.
The regulatory landscape is quickly adapting to the digital ecosystem. Therefore, our mission and strategy bring new opportunities for exceptional talent to join our journey. With over 150 “Kaianeers” spread across the globe, we need now, more than ever, specialized talent to help take our mission further.
We are looking for an experienced data analyst to join our Product Analytics team. You will focus on the user acquisition journey within our US business.  Kaia operates in a B2B2C model; we work with channel partners (self-insured employers and health plans) to market Kaia’s solutions to eligible populations (eligible members access Kaia’s products for free as a benefit from their employer/health plan). You will lead analysis measuring the impact of acquisition campaigns on product enrollment. You will track the prospective user’s journey from their first touch, through the browser or app-based onboarding experience, and ultimately to account registration and activation. You will help optimize efforts to reach individuals who can benefit from Kaia’s therapeutic programs. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders throughout the Kaia organization, including Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Client Success. Together with the rest of the Analytics and Data Science team, you will help everyone at Kaia Health better understand our users and tailor our outreach programs to the serviceable population.

The role responsibilities include:

  • Act as the data analytics lead for analyzing user acquisition journeys within Kaia’s digital therapeutics programs, from initial outreach to first interactions on the app.
  • Work directly with Kaia’s US Member Marketing team to understand the campaign effectiveness and cost-efficiency of Kaia’s marketing programs. You will own this workstream end-to-end: determine KPIs, measure those KPIs, and report insights to the team to enable data-driven decision making and campaign optimization.
  • Create dashboards and reports tracking the performance of multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive website visits, app downloads, and ultimately initial product usage.
  • Drive product analytics for early stages of the user journey, optimizing our web and mobile experiences to ensure funnel conversion.
  • Align with the Data Platform and Engineering teams to ensure consistent tracking
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering and Data Engineering to establish a modern technology stack and data architecture to scale marketing analytics efforts.
  • Work together with the rest of the Product Analytics team to deliver insights that fuel Kaia’s ability to support our users in their health journey.
  • Work in tandem with various company stakeholders to interpret data and generate actionable insights from data, such as:
  • Help product teams design, execute, analyze A/B tests
  • Collaborate with UX Research to cross-fertilise quantitative with qualitative insights
  • Partner with Clinical Coordination and Coaching team to understand ROI of human-led outreach and retention campaigns
  • Collaborate with analyst peers to share learnings and best practices across the Analytics & Data Science department.

What you need for this position:

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, business analytics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience analyzing marketing/user acquisition campaigns, such as email, direct mail, and web/mobile events
  • Quantitative skills and an analytical mindset with academic training in Marketing or in STEM fields (such as Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics) or equivalent practical experience
  • Comfort leading and owning high-impact work streams
  • Proficiency with product analytics and data visualization tools (such as Mixpanel, Looker, etc.) for developing interactive reports and analyses for stakeholders with a non-technical background.
  • The ability to communicate results to stakeholders and tell stories using data
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Basic literacy in and ability to perform statistical analysis using SQL and Python software
  • US Authorization Required

Ideally you also have:

  • Deep understanding of a B2B2C business model, and an appreciation for meeting the needs of clients and end-users
  • Experience in digital health or working with healthcare data (including sensitive personal health information)

You'll fit in with our company culture if you:

  • Are user-centric and view technology as a tool to improve a user’s life
  • Have a bias for action; the world is complex and unpredictable place so starting, releasing, and getting feedback iteratively is the only possible path to success
  • Strive to be articulate and humble, make the complex simple, present ideas openly, accepting that being wrong is part of the process
  • Are not afraid of tackling problems that others deem impossible

Some of the benefits of being a Kaianeer:
You can directly influence the future of digital health in a team of industry experts and digital shapers.
You will work alongside serial entrepreneurs (previously founded and scaled another startup, Foodora).
You’ll enjoy accessible leaders, a hybrid (home/office) or remote work environment, and flexible vacation and working times.
We support your professional development and have a budget and PTO set aside for you just for that! Happy hours, team events, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Join us if you’re looking for an entrepreneurial adventure and an exciting place to grow personally and professionally.
