Overview:

As a Senior Data Analyst you will partner closely with our Product, Customer Success and Support teams to deepen our understanding of how customers interact with our product and organization. You will develop and evaluate hypotheses designed to unlock the value of our data through deep observation and advanced analysis, and will build out internally facing data products to take advantage of these findings. You will be a key contributor to our corporate reporting (Tableau) and the architecture that supports it (Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, etc.), and will design clear, compelling and reliable data views to support evolving business requirements. You will also be a champion for data quality & governance, and will play in instrumental role in ensuring accuracy across our data ecosystem.

A successful candidate for this role will have a strong eye for business, will be curious and self-directed, and will be comfortable presenting to all levels in the company.

Primary Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Act as a trusted business partner for our Product, Customer Success and Support organizations, partnering with them to define, calculate and report out on key KPIs and metrics, as well as to evaluate data-based hypotheses about their business.
  • Act as a domain expert on the definition, measurement and interpretation of metrics focused on measuring client engagement and happiness, culminating in a robust, data-driven scoring profile for the health of our customer base.
  • Develop an intimate understanding of the Company’s data ecosystem including our various source systems (Salesforce, Pendo, Zendesk, etc.) and how their data combines to provide a comprehensive view of overall business performance.
  • Contribute to the day-to-day operations of our Business Intelligence tool (Tableau) with an eye for continually improving the end user experience and enabling self-service reporting.
  • Participate in the buildout and management of the reporting layer of the Company data warehouse (Snowflake / DBT) and data pipelines (FiveTran / Airflow).

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability in a data-focused role - Software / Software as a Service (SaaS) experience preferred
  • Familiarity with statistical concepts including regressions, hypothesis testing, A/B testing, etc.
  • Proficiency in Python or a similar scripting language
  • Knowledge of SQL and basic data warehousing concepts
  • Experience with Tableau, Looker, or a similar BI / Data Visualization tool
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization
