Solutions Data Science Internship

The Role One Concern is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a passionate, mission-driven Solutions Data Science Intern to join our team. In this role, you’ll work with our solutions team to build data analytics and statistics visualizations corresponding with client requests. This is a full-time internship for a period of two to three months with the possibility of converting to full-time employment.

What You'll do

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of data scientists on cross-functional projects, interpreting data, and translating into actionable insights.
• Support an international team of researchers in designing and testing supply chain models.
• Work with and support domain experts and data scientists in different projects.
• Query and analyze large datasets in accordance with client requests.
• Perform data sanity checks to ensure data integrity and summarize data to provide meaningful insights.
• Build easily digestible and reproducible visualizations for the data summaries.

Qualifications and Experience

• Pursuing Ph. D. or MS in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or related fields.
• Experience in supply chain risk analysis and operations research.
• Network analysis background highly desirable
• Exposure to coding, Python or MATLAB proficiency highly preferred

Nice to Haves

• SQL or Snowflake experience
• Domain knowledge of natural disasters
• Experience in large scale simulations
