The Lyft Autonomous team is expanding Lyft's transportation platform to include self-driving vehicles. Our goal is to provide a seamless experience by bridging the gap between our rideshare experience today and Lyft’s autonomous future. To date, we have given over 150,000 self-driving rides on the Lyft platform, and this number continues to grow each day. 

As a Quality Engineer working on Lyft Autonomous, you will drive a comprehensive test strategy and build tooling to ensure the reliability of our integrations with industry leading self-driving car manufacturers, and help to deliver a high quality end-to-end driverless rideshare experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and execute test plans for our integrations with self-driving partners and new feature launches
  • Work closely with engineers to develop a tools and automation tests for our self-driving platform
  • Define and track key quality metrics to drive quality improvements for self-driving rides delivered on the Lyft Rideshare network over time
  • Partner with Lyft rideshare teams to understand and plan for upcoming changes that impact our team
  • Partner with external self-driving vehicle providers on product launches
  • Perform regular release testing to ensure quality of Lyft app
Experience:
  • Experience with UI automation frameworks like XCUITest, Selenium/Cypress, and Espresso
  • Strong experience in developing and documenting test plans, test cases, and reporting bugs for complex features
  • A track record of working with engineering teams to deliver high quality products and services
  • Extensive experience testing and debugging mobile and web applications
  • Extensive experience with API testing, familiarity with REST or gRPC protocols, and tools such as Charles proxy
  • Experience with cross-organizational collaboration. The most successful candidates will be able to navigate working across multiple teams to help root cause complex issues
  • Effective written/oral communication skills. You will need to be able to articulate technical issues clearly and concisely to both engineers and product managers
  • Familiarity with Linux and programming languages such as Java/Python/Swift
  • High attention to detail. You notice when things aren’t pixel-perfect (but know how to prioritize effectively)
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and an understanding of how to leverage them effectively

This role is work-from-anywhere, excluding the following states and territory: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, West Virginia, Wyoming, Puerto Rico.

For candidates living in Colorado the expected base pay range is $110,000 - $210,000 and depending on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location.
