  Business Data Specialist

Adyen is looking for a Senior Data Specialist to join our Data & Strategy team in São Paulo in Brazil. The ideal candidate is someone who is able to approach and understand complex problems in a structured manner, while converting the results into a compelling and actionable story for internal or external stakeholders.

 This role requires a blend of skills including an analytical mindset, operational acumen, initiative management, creativity, and an overall desire to be an accelerator for our business.

Whether you come from the payments space or not, we need you to be an independent and enthusiastic thinker who is curious about how the payments ecosystem works and how that fits in with global commerce.

  What You’ll do

• Determine the necessary data required to solve a wide variety of business problems; extract required data, and draw conclusions and recommendations. Derive insights on product performance through data analysis.
• Support Product teams to customize specific analysis for LATAM local needs. Partner with the acquiring team to shape next generation BI and data infrastructure. Build self service tools to enable business users. 
• Run strategic studies to map revenue opportunities with clients and products (support leaders in business decisions making)
• Support OKR management, acting as key data stakeholder making sure we have the right metrics and analysis to help teams make decisions and reach expected goals

   Who You Are

• Strong quantitative / detail-oriented background;
• Experience with data languages, preferably SQL / Python / Spark;
• Enjoys solving complex problems in a structured manner;
• Strong written / verbal communication skills;
• Ability to operate comfortably within a complex global environment
• Fluent in conversational and written English on a professional level.

  It Is a Strong Plus Skills If You Have

• Related experience in Payments, Card, Wallet, or Banking;
• Strong understanding of the payments landscape, with the critical thinking skills to comprehend and interpret emerging trends;
