Data Engineer/ Population Health

JOB TITLE: Data Engineer/ Population Health Program       

REPORTING TO: Population Health Program Director

We are looking for a data engineer to be part of our Data Engineering team that will work across teams from regional offices such as in Singapore, Brunei and China. As a data engineer, you will be responsible for providing data engineering support for  R&D project  in Population Health Program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Work with internal tools to perform data pipeline monitoring and maintenance
2. Responsible for data schema management and database performance tuning
3. Respond to EVYD data platform operational issues raised by clients, which include, but not limited to:
   • Locating the sources of the issues
   • Finding solutions for the issues
   • Communicating with relevant parties for fixing of issues
4. Implement automation whenever possible to streamline processes
5. Collaborate with various departments to understand requirements and perform data engineering tasks to meet their needs, such as data cleaning, transformation, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related fields (Information Engineering, Information Management, Data Engineering, Applied Mathematics)
• Fluent in Python and SQL, experience in Api framework (Flask, FastAPI, Django) is a plus
• Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases, experience in MongoDB is a plus
• Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka, etc.
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS / GCP / Azure is a plus
• Experience with data visualization tools is a plus
• Working experience in a health organization with knowledge in medical data management
• Good communication skills (Ability to speak in Mandarin will be a plus)
• Results driven, able to function independently and work within a cross-functional team, as well as with external partners and vendors
• Excitement about the vision and mission of EVYD
