What you get to do: 

Reporting to our Senior Manager, Data Science & Advanced Analytics you'll create advanced data models and high-quality analysis for all aspects of our business to discover insights, promote outcomes, applicable recommendations, and new ideas to guide strategic decisions.

  • Be a partner or subject matter expert in OppFi's modeling team to support the use of advanced analytics and promote best practices
  • Develop statistic models, model tracking dashboards and performance metrics that support and inform important decisions
  • Improve upon existing methodologies by developing new data sources, testing model enhancements, and fine-tuning model parameters
  • Communicate results and business impacts of insight initiatives to partners within and outside of the Division

What you will bring to the team:

  • BS in data science, advanced analytics or quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Math or Engineering, or equivalent industry experience (Master's degree preferred).
  • 1+ years of experience with data science and advanced analytics with record for delivery of data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions
  • Experience with machine learning/cloud-based libraries, programming languages and statistical packages such as SQL, R, Python, and tools such as Data Robot
  • Experience with statistical modeling techniques: GLM multiple regression, logistic regression, log-linear regression, variable selection, etc.
  • Experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments

Job Level: Senior Analyst 

The minimum salary for this role is $90,000. The total compensation package includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses as well as a 1-time equity grant based on level.

The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be at the company’s sole discretion, and determined by a myriad of factors including, but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, and other relevant business considerations.
