We are currently recruiting for our Paris office, a Senior Data Scientist H/F  (CDI)

You will be joining the product team developing Kayrros Carbon Watch, a game-changing CO2 emissions monitoring tool using satellite imagery and proprietary algorithms to compute near realtime emissions data globally,


Role

Kayrros Carbon Watch is now live, and you will be in charge of both running the product, in partnership with the rest of the team, and working on new features. This includes extending the methodology to new geographies or finding ways to monitor emissions for more types of industrial installations using satellite imagery and other innovative datasets.

In this position, you will be working closely with the Product Manager and the Data Engineers from the team, in such a way that you both learn the core technologies and contribute to the development of new features that you pinpointed as crucial for success.

Data Scientists have a central role in Kayrros. They contribute to scoping projects, identifying and collecting data, constructing features, designing models, visualization, testing, and improving products with clients.

Requirements

This is an ideal opportunity if you are looking for a full-time position starting as soon as April 2022, and you want to join a fast-growing start-up.

  • You have at least 2-3 years of experience in a similar position
  • You have a strong quantitative background and are passionate about machine learning, statistics, and operations research. You are very interested in deep learning, machine learning applied to time series and images, as well as signal processing.
  • You have programming skills in Python, Machine Learning libraries, data visualization packages, and data manipulation.
  • You can design and deliver working prototypes in a fast-paced environment and put them into production with the help of data engineers.
  • You are dynamic, curious, and eager to learn about the energy, natural resources, and greenhouse gas emission domains.
  • You are autonomous, you do not hesitate to provide the team with new ideas and challenge existing solutions.
  • You can communicate clearly in English, including with non-technical people.
  • You are willing to contribute actively and have a real impact on the company's success.

Expertise in the emissions accounting or energy sector will be greatly valued.
