As a Data Scientist on the Data Centric Development team, you will help to build the data-drive development process with real market data from customer vehicles for automated driving system developers. That is one of the core missions of the company, so working closely with many product teams and business teams includes top management from a data perspective.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?The ideal candidate is self-motivated to find solutions to complex real-world problems, and to make an impact while contributing to a cross-functional team. You will combine cutting-edge technology with statistics, data analysis and processing, then support a host of different projects in the domain of automated driving, with the goal of achieving faster feedback iterations for agile development.
RESPONSIBILITIES・Analyze image and sensor data from customer vehicles via statistical methods and visualization and present findings to internal stakeholders・Build interactive dashboards and visualizations to facilitate data exploration and data-driven communication with developers and other users・Provide feedback to contribute to the improvement of the existing analysis environment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS・Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a similar major with an expected graduation date September 2023 – March 2024・Available for a 3-month on-site internship in the summer of 2022・Understanding of core theoretical aspects of data science (statistical analysis and machine learning)・Experience with writing software in Python and data science tools:　　　・(Analytics libraries) NumPy, scikit-learn, Pandas, etc.　　　・(Visualization tools) Plotly Dash, Streamlit, etc.・Proficiency reading and writing English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working with big data using PySpark and SQL
• Experience with AWS and basic managed service usage
• Experience using Git/Github in a team environment
• Experience with Deep Learning and image libraries (TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, OpenCV, etc.)

WORKING CONDITIONSStart Date: You can choose to start from several start dates, July 15, August 1, August 22, or September 1, 2022 Internship Duration: 3 months Timing: 3-5 days on weekdaysSalary: Hourly wage *The salary will be varied depending on individual experience and skills.Work Location: Nihonbashi (Head office), Higashifuji*Travel/Accommodation support will be provided for those students who are outside of the Tokyo region.
