The Opportunity
Creating an effective cybersecurity product today is one of the most significant adversarial problem spaces you can find in AI, where evasion, poisoning, model stealing, etc. are all commonplace challenges. With highly-motivated & sophisticated bad actors who spend their days creating custom attacks designed to get past rigorous detection engines, their success amounts to an unprecedented existential risk to the organizations hit. We have built the best detection product in the market, and our solution consistently foils these types of attacks. But we are only as good as the next attack that we miss ...
So, how do you stay one step ahead of the attackers? This is the problem that the data science team at Abnormal Security has been tasked with solving. And it's one we'd love your help with too! - Interest in cybersecurity
What you’ll do:
- Work closely with product engineering to build new features and products
- Analyze missed attacks or false positives to identify patterns and suggest opportunities for improvement
- Build tracking to understand detection performance and end user experience
- Research opportunities to improve detection of malicious attacks
- Share insights with executives, peers, and industry partners
- Work remotely in the US or Canada, or work out of our offices in San Francisco or NYC
Experience you’ll need:
- 3+ years of experience as a full-time production Data Scientist (post-graduation)
- Comfortable working in a highly autonomous manner
- Fluent in Python and SQL
