The Opportunity:

Data Operations is an important function connecting systems across the business helping Sales Operations, Marketing, and Customer Success to present accurate metrics to executive leadership. The Data Quality Manager will work within the Sales Operations team to build out Abnormal Security’s data operations program, set the GTM data quality strategy, and serve as a steward of the data as it revolves around our CRM, and other sales systems.

 

In this role, you will own the processes in which data flows in and out of our systems, ensure health and accuracy of the data we rely on to manage the business, and create analytics to maintain data standards.  You will also partner with cross functional teams to review and assess enhancements to our systems which will impact our data programs.  As the primary owner of our data strategy you will support the output of data through reporting and dashboarding best practices.

What you'll do:

  • Create data governance program across all sales systems: 
    • Own data enrichment strategy and quality control program
    • Design and implement a data hierarchy to ensure the most accurate data is being pulled and represented within the org.
    • Manage and improve account firmographic health and accuracy: account hierarchies, employee count, location, industry, fortune ranking.
    • Monitor CRM integrations to maintain the data integrity and optimize synchronization between Salesforce instances and peripheral systems.
  • Create processes and procedures along with access controls to monitor adherence to data standards. This includes establishing internal policies particularly around record creation requirements and field level validations.
  • Implement process to capture cross-functional data feedback, concerns, and questions; maintain quality of the data using said feedback.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert in coordinating with Business Operations, Marketing Operations, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams to ensure their understanding of critical sales data and advise on its usage.
  • Monitor data usage to assist teams, share best practices, and provide insight into how and where teams can use account data effectively.
  • Establish checks and balances to ensure maintenance of data quality while also adjusting to process changes and new business requirements.
  • Develop a portfolio of data quality projects and ongoing management.
  • Ensure compliance and security of the data. Data Operations is responsible for protecting the data while providing information on potential risks.

 

Experience you'll need:

  • 5+ years working with Sales/Data operations in an analytical or systems role (or similar).
  • A strong understanding of data lifecycle management, data modeling, master data management and requirements gathering.
  • Demonstrated Ability working with salesforce automation including workflows, process builders and triggers.
  • Experience implementing data management applications including, but not limited to ZoomInfo, Apollo, Sales Navigator, RingLead.
  • Proficiency in Excel, and versed in Business Intelligence tools (Sigma, or other); SQL is a plus
  • Background in leading Data Management projects or initiatives
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, with a desire to learn
  • Proactive mindset, willing to see something that needs to be done and provide suggested solutions to get it done
  • Enjoys working with numbers, and taking an analytical approach to solving problems
  • Strong verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • A commitment to using good judgment
  • Good work ethic and experience working as part of a team
