ETL Engineer - Hybrid

AnaVation is looking for a talented ETL Engineer who is passionate about technology and working with customers and a strong team to provide solutions for our mission-critical customer in Chantilly, VA.  The ideal candidate appreciates partnering with our customer and a group of engineers to create innovative engineering solutions.  If you are looking to be challenged, then this is the environment for you!
The candidate will need help maintain existing software while transitioning from server-based to cloud-based solutions. The candidate will work with a GOTS-based Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) system that loads information into an Oracle database with billions of rows and deals with a file repository that is in a Petabyte range.  In addition, the candidate will be highly involved in the planning, engineering and transition of the existing system software and data into a Cloud-based solution.

Required Qualifications

• 10 or more years of extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) experience
• Experience with C# and .NET
• Experience with Java
• Experience with Linux (RHEL) and Windows Environments
• Experience with Oracle databases and PL/SQL
• Excellent communication skills
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with scripting software solutions (bash, python, or perl)
• Experience with AWS services and Cloud Programming (S3, EC2, SQS, SNS, etc)
• Experience with Big Data technologies
• Experience with Solr
• Experience working within agile methodology
