Business Data Analyst (Commercial function) - Assistant Manager

Role

You will be working closely with the regional commercial teams that drive our revenue. You will be able to gain experience on how a global commercial team expand its customer base in a fast growing startup. Your analysis will initiate strategic, cross border and high impact projects, which will directly impact the scale of the business.

Our department’s work is objective oriented, and you will be given a wide latitude to plan and work towards the common goal. Our open and collaborative culture allows you exposure to work directly with our senior management, including country managers, global directors or even our founder himself.

Responsibilities

• Establish analytical framework for the commercial management teams (sales & growth teams): core metrics monitoring, automated dashboards, root cause analysis
• Deep dive into the data to identify actionable insights and new growth opportunities
• Perform ad-hoc data analysis on business challenges and provide advice based on analysis findings
• Champion key data initiatives and be the thought leader on data best practice in the commercial teams; constantly advocate our BI ecosystem to the stakeholders
• Work closely with the product and engineering team on the design, development and maintenance of data models

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or above, majored in mathematics, statistics, computer science, business analytics is preferred; (or major in other fields but with rich data analytics / modelling experience after graduation)
• Data analysis ability, familiar with SQL and experience dealing with complex datasets
• Familiar with BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Amplitude
• 5-7 years of relevant working experience
• Possess good communication and organisational skills - you should be able to interact with people at all levels of the organisation
• Has a can-do attitude – we are a lean team and many times responsibilities may fall out of one’s exact job description; we are looking for folks that are willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done
• Fluent in English and Mandarin
