Precision for Medicine is hiring a LabOps Data Specialist to join our team in Berlin, candidates can either work on site or part office/part home based. 

Position Summary:

The LabOps Data Specialist is responsible for monitoring and trending operational data within the LabOps Smartsheet program for global lab work.  The LabOps Data Specialist will report into the Specialty Data Services Supervisor and collaborate with Smartsheet users to ensure database completion in preparation of monthly unit actual completion.  This position will monitor forecasted work and use these metrics to assist the Clinical Sample Operations Team.  In addition, this role will ensure fiscal impacts are escalated appropriately.  As Smartsheet subject matter experts (SMEs), this position will also provide general assistance as Smartsheet administrators.

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure appropriate Smartsheet setup for new projects and escalate to the Specialty Data Services Supervisor when information is absent or incorrect
  • Assist the PM team with Smartsheet reporting tools to ensure accurate unit actual completion
  • Analyzes and corrects data using documented procedures and available tools as well as personal knowledge, skills, and recommended solutions
  • Adhere to QMS compliance in all activities including thorough documentation of issues/corrections implemented
  • Maintains appropriate work logs to ensure team and individual KPIs are available to the Specialty Data Services Supervisor
  • This position will interact with Global lab groups, IT groups, Smartsheet Users, and other internal stakeholders
  • Serve as general Smartsheet subject matter experts
  • Demonstrates behaviour consistent with the Precision for Medicine Core Values

 

Miscellaneous:

  • Attend required in-house training seminars as scheduled
  • Carry out other duties/projects as assigned
  • Edit / Maintain SOPs/POPs
  • Prepare and generate demos
  • Initiate NCR/Complaint, when applicable or requested
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years’ relevant work experience

Other Required:

  • A high degree of judgment, excellent communication and accuracy of work
  • Ability to meet deadlines and perform administrative functions
  • Microsoft Office suite proficiency including Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to organize tasks, work independently and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to function independently in a minimally supervised environment with exceptional attention to detail required
  • Demonstrated highly developed communication skills including well-developed writing skills and verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, fluently and comprehend the English language

Preferred:

  • 1+ year of demonstrated proficiency of Smartsheet platform usage
