Your Impact

Our Data Strategy Team demonstrates skills in data and metadata management, data integration, data warehousing, data quality, machine learning, and core engineering skills to be able to design, engineer, govern and improve an entire Data Platform that will be accessed in a self-service way by our customers, partners, and employees.

We are the big data and analytics arm of Anaplan’s Connected Planning Team. We seek a Data Strategy Data Engineer to join our fast-growing company, which helps Fortune 2000 organizations design and complete their connected planning strategy in a wide array of industries and business functions.

This is a hybrid role combining data integration and application development skills. You’ll be responsible for three main areas: data integration, application development and operational support.

Please note: we are open to a remote employee in a location where Anaplan is able to do business.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field or equivalent professional or military experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with system/data integration, development, or implementation of enterprise and/or cloud software.
  • Solid experience setting up data warehousing solutions and associated pipelines for internal/external sources, including ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, MuleSoft, Snaplogic, SSIS).
  • Demostrated Python experience.
  • Data wrangling and query authoring in SQL and NoSQL environments for both structured and unstructured data.
  • Web APIs (RESTful and SOAP).
  • Cloud-based computing environment experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Comfortable building data pipelines using a wide variety of data sources, such as Salesforce, Workday, Splunk, Adobe Analytics, or similar, and implementing custom code to transform data.
  • Expertise in detailing business requirements, as well as functional and technical documentation.
  • Experience writing Unit & Functional Test Cases, Test Scripts & Run books.
  • Expertise in service management systems like Jira, Service Now, Confluence etc.
  • Worked with at least one BI tool such as Tableau, Qlik, Sisense, Power BI/SSRS
  • Create organizational change packages and implementation plans for migration to various environments.
  • Involved in Enterprise Risk Management Processes.
  • Solid understanding of Agile Software development methodology.
  • Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical ability, judgment and problem analysis techniques.
  • Social skills with the ability to work optimally in a multi-functional team.
