Superpedestrian is seeking a Junior Product Manager for Data Integrations. 
The Data Integrations team develops the back-end infrastructure to support Mobility Data Specification (MDS) and General Bikeshare Feed Specification (GBFS) APIs, as well as Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) integrations. Our primary clients are cities, third-party data analytics platforms, and route-planning platforms.
We weave together data streams from across the stack — from mobile apps to operation platforms, to billing systems and more. Thus, this role demands expertise in coordinating between teams, quickly learning new technological frameworks, and transferring knowledge from project to project. 
This role will report to a Senior Product Manager. Together, the team will act as product owners for Data Integrations products and be responsible for their final delivery

What you'll do:

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to define product goals and requirements
  • Collaborating with the Senior PM to design new features and create a backlog of tasks for the development team
  • Investigating bugs and identifying potential solutions
  • Writing clear, detailed documentation
  • Communicating project status to stakeholders throughout the organization
  • Supporting Business Intelligence team with routine data analysis

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of experience in software development, urban planning, or other tech-related field. OR Master’s Degree in urban planning, computer science, engineering or related field
  • Experience with SQL and RESTful APIs 
  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Spatial Analysis
  • Ability to investigate bugs, write scripts in SQL/Python/JavaScript to inform strategy and produce actionable recommendations.
  • Knowledge of urban transportation systems, especially shared and/or micro-mobility
  • Knowledge of business-to-business partnerships and technologies.
  • Exposure to Statistics/Data Science
  • Comfortable asking for resources where needed, relay progress updates to stakeholders, create clear documentation, and escalate urgent issues.
  • Ready to reorganize the backlog as business priorities shift, and identify new approaches to overcome roadblocks.
  • Keen to learn new parts of the stack, surface insights from our data, and suggest new features
  • Passionate about sustainable cities, urban tech, and transportation systems that advance equity and spark joy.

The nice to haves:

  • Specific knowledge of Mobility Data Specification (MDS) & General Bikeshare Feed Specification, or other mobility data standards 
  • Experience in the public sector or government relations
  • Agile software development processes
  • Comfort with analytics platforms (Metabase, Tableau) and/or data visualization libraries (D3, Next.js, Vegalite)
