Senior Data Scientist - Machine Learning & AI

Calabrio is looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist with a strong background in applied mathematics and statistics, to contribute to and grow our Calabrio Machine Learning and AI practice. Using large quantities of omnichannel contact center-generated data (numerical, text, audio, behavioral, and user-generated data), the person in this role will focus on prototyping innovative solutions designed to revolutionize the contact center and customer experience industries.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll be researching, experimenting, applying various techniques, and looking for novel approaches to the problems at hand. You will also be developing working prototypes to assess the viability of the approaches while implementing the solution that can be deployed into production. Data Scientists at Calabrio have close relationships with the product development teams and serve as the technical aid in generating ideas for innovative features in the Calabrio software suite. This is an ideal role for a Machine Learning and AI professional with a true passion for research and experimentation who craves high visibility and impact, while working with cutting-edge technologies.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Researching new Data Science techniques to create innovative solutions
• Building models, prototypes, and applications based on business requirements
• Selecting appropriate datasets and data representation methods
• Running experiments
• Performing statistical analysis and fine-tuning using test results
• Assisting product teams in productizing solutions and prototypes

Requirements

Must Haves:

• A degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
• 5 or more years of proven experience as a Senior Data Scientist
• Expertise in one or more of the following:
  • Statistical Analysis and Forecasting
  • Applied Mathematics
  • Computational Linguistics
  • Behavioral Psychology
  • Natural Language Processing (NLP)
  • Machine Learning with text or speech-based data
• Experience building Data Science applications using numerical and/or text data.
• A background in independent research and experience in experimental design.
• Ability to transform “raw” data to conform to the assumptions of a machine learning algorithm.

Nice to Haves:

• Master’s degree or PhD strongly preferred
• Strong proficiency in Python and related technologies such as TensorFlow & Pytorch.
• Deep knowledge of computer science, math, probability, statistics, and algorithms preferred
