Scandit is a high-growth tech scaleup from Switzerland with offices in Zurich, Boston, Warsaw, London and Tampere.

Our technology for recognizing any barcode with any standard mobile phone is leading in the market today. To see our software in action, check out our videos.

We are now looking for a new colleague to join our passionate team of computer vision engineers and help us make the next steps. Together with the other team members, you will be responsible for further improving our scanning performance and making it work in even more challenging conditions by applying and optimizing  computer vision and deep learning algorithms. Additionally, you will work with other engineers on topics such as object recognition, geometric models, 3D reconstruction and visual tracking in order to further extend the capabilities to our product.

If these challenges sound interesting to you, send us your application.

 What You Will Do

  • Solve challenging geometric mapping and product recognition problems for our retail shelf monitoring solution
  • Optimize the usability of shelf monitoring tasks by porting algorithms from the cloud to real-time on-device execution
  • Further improve the performance of our leading barcode recognition algorithms (e.g. on reflecting or deformed surfaces)
  • Build out the augmented reality capabilities of our product by developing specialized AR/SLAM implementations that go beyond what is possible with ARKit and ARCore
  • Build automated QA systems to guarantee robustness, speed and consistency

Who You Are

  • MSc or PhD degree in computer science or a related field
  • Multiple years of practical experience in computer vision, image processing or machine learning
  • Experience in C++ or Python (or a similar language)
  • Solid knowledge of data structures, object-oriented programming and software engineering principles
  • In depth knowledge of 3d reconstruction or SLAM algorithms is a plus
  • Experience in GPU programming with OpenGL (ES), Metal or Vulcan is a plus
  • Thorough and with attention to detail

What We Offer

  • A highly skilled team and a fun environment where you can put your enthusiasm for cutting-edge technologies to use
  • Flexible working hours and the opportunity to travel
  • A highly skilled and helpful team of international researchers, scientists and engineers to work with
  • Hackathons, Christmas fondue parties, company outings and other regular events
