THE ROLE AND YOUR IMPACT AT TIER

• You will join the Fleet Availability analytics team in the Company Analytics group, helping to develop & curate a best in class data platform to allow hundreds of people at TIER to take business-critical and data-driven decisions on a daily basis
• Our team is striving to solve the billion-dollar problem in micromobility: finding the optimal match of supply (our vehicles) with consumer demand to maximise the utilisation of our fleet and the experience for our users. We do this by developing ML products, data models, dashboards and actionable insights for central and local teams, ensuring that each vehicle is at the right place, in the right condition, at the right time
• Your main focus will be to design, build, deploy and maintain data products at scale across hundreds of markets
• You will identify opportunities to recommend how to improve our best-in-class fleet management operations to maximise our topline potential, and how to best expand our service - such as new markets, new areas of a city - or defining the optimum amount of vehicles to deploy to optimise key profitability metrics
• You will ensure that the quality of our input data is at the highest standard, enabling us to build data-centric AI models
• You will be supported by our amazing colleagues in the AI Platform team, who provide us with the right tooling to deploy & monitor predictive models in production & at scale
• Act as a data expert/product manager in strategic discussions with cross-functional teams, assisting in understanding the business case from our stakeholders and fostering a data first culture within business.

YOU’LL FIT GREAT WITH THESE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 2 years of experience as a Data Scientist or equivalent, applying statistics and ML to real-world datasets
• Proficient with various Data Science/ML libraries, e.g. numpy, pandas, sklearn, scipy, matplotlib, plotly. Experience in writing production-ready code and with geospatial Python libraries (shapely, geopandas, h3) is a plus
• Working knowledge of SQL
• Good knowledge of Version Control Software (Github, Gitlab or similar)
• Hands-on experience with data pipelines and visualization tools, familiar with cloud based platforms
• Proven track record of developing and modeling in a business context as well as putting models into production while using Docker, Kubernetes or equivalent
• You are confident in communicating complex problems with technical and business users in simple language
• You are structured at work, able to handle and prioritise your tasks well in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment
• Experience working with fleet management, operations & availability topics and/or geospatial data is a big plus.
