Our purpose is taking care of life’s essentials, but we’re also big on making a difference, not just because we should but because we care.

Which is why we are investing over £565 million into the new Green Recovery Programme, to improve the lives of the communities we serve.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our Smart Metering team in Severn Trent Centre, Coventry as a Data Specialist. You’ll play an essential part of this programme which is set to roll out a large-scale trial of 157,000 smart water meters which will support customers to use water more efficiently and help reduce leakage.

As a Data Specialist your primary focus will be on the benefit quantification of the Smart Metering programme & supporting Data Engineering tasks.

Do you have proven experience using data visualisation tools and are passionate about providing data with valuable insight? Do you want to be part of a programme that is set to make a difference for our customers?

If so, read on.

LET’S TELL YOU MORE

You’ll take ownership of benefits quantification, ensuring the Smart Metering programme can utilise robust and trustworthy data analytics to demonstrate the benefits of the investment, whilst providing insightful data analysis on leakage reduction, which will look to drive improvements across our Green Recovery Smart Metering programme.

In your new role you’ll also create KPI performance dashboard reports and actively monitor trends in performance data to identify actions and solutions, so being an actively problem-solving individual is essential!

Additionally, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business and contractors to define and develop requirements for robust data reporting to provide regular weekly/monthly updates.

Our ideal candidate will have experience using visualisation tools such as PowerBI and a strong understanding of building effective report dashboards, as well as working with a range of stakeholders.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We want people who show up and roll their sleeves up. Restless spirits who are ready to be part of something bigger, who care, who really care... because when you really care, you’ll go above and beyond. When you really care you don’t just talk about it, you do more

We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We employ thousands of people from across our community who really care about what they do. Because that is how we do what we do.

And when it comes to inclusion, we’re making sure we keep up the progress with our wonderful working groups – LGBTQ+, Women in Operations & STEM, Disability and Ethnicity; who help us do just that.

We do more, because we care.
