TechFlow Inc. is hiring a Senior Developer – Information Data Manager to apply experience in software development to solve business issues. The Senior Developer will have experience in all phases of the systems engineering life cycle (SELC) to include initial design/analysis through deployment. The Senior Developer will design, develop, test, and deploy applications and services in a highly virtualized environment using select applications and Integrated Development environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform application design, development, testing and deployment
  • Coordinate with analysts and customers to derive requirements for use cases/scenarios
  • Determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints, and consulting with engineering staff to evaluate the interface between hardware and software
  • Conduct trade off analysis to include analysis of alternatives, cost benefit analysis, total cost of ownership and usage, and technical tradeoffs
  • Ensure design and development includes the creation of frameworks and tools for deployment and support of the application and service
  • Plan and support capacity and performance management of the Cloud or Virtual Service environments
  • Create and refine prototypes for Government approval in a rapid development environment
  • Implement applications and services to include, but not limited to, obtaining approvals; setting up and configuring infrastructure; integrating to other applications, services and data stores; migrating code, frameworks and data; supporting reviews and testing; and creating documentation
  • Creates user Guides and System Documentation
  • Plan and assign work when acting in a lead role, determining designs, collecting metrics on all associated development tasks, coding, debugging, creating documentation, conducting tests, and building applications on a predefined schedule
  • Produce and implement design specifications, documenting design modifications and unit testing results
  • Identify and work with strategic and technology partners to discover new product solutions
  • Plan, design, and program functionality to interface and use SQL Server or Oracle in coordination with the Database Administrator
  • Plan, design, and develop user interfaces
  • Design, develop and maintain automated deployment processes and best practices for SharePoint solution deployments to multiple environments (features, WSPs, etc.)
  • Facilitate meetings to determine the validity and priority of issues found within products, both internally as well as reproduced issues logged through Technical Support
  • Investigate, identify, and resolve complex code issues logged internally by the QA team and externally by our clients through Technical Support
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues
  • May supervise subordinate software programmers and assist in their creation of a quality product

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or other technically related disciplines
  • Experience with the following:
    • Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as a Service
    • Platform as a Service Products
      • Office 365 Services
      • SharePoint
      • SharePoint Online
      • JIRA
      • Confluence
      • Insight Database
      • ServiceNow
  • Must have the ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance
  • Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in computer programming and analysis of complex information systems, application, or operating system software
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in select programming language or environment
  • Must possess the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users
