Senior Data Analyst Supply Chain Operations - Industrial Engineering (m/f/x)

To support that, we are looking to hire a data-driven and impact oriented Senior Data Analyst for our European Warehouse Design team. You will support the implementation of our new e-commerce warehouses and contribute to the further functional and geographical expansion in Europe.

What You'll Do

As a senior analyst for the EU Industrial Engineering team, you will provide analytical support to make data-driven decisions, which will directly impact and improve how Wayfair handles inventory and optimizes its warehouses in Europe.

Your responsibilities include:

• Translating high-level business problems into more specific questions that can be answered through hypothesis based data analyses; leveraging analytical findings to identify actionable business recommendations
• Collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure a common understanding
• Owning KPIs, tracking and communicating out trends and looking for opportunities to optimize performance 
• Creating, preparing, automating, and distributing standard and customized reports
• Identifying root causes for data or reporting errors to drive corrective and preventative actions

What You'll Bring To The Team

• Several years of practical experience in analytics or business intelligence
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a distinguished academic record, ideally in a quantitative field (math, economics, statistics, physics, engineering, etc.)
• A track record of analyzing data to develop actionable insights despite obstacles, limited resources or landscape ambiguity
• Structured thinker, with the ability to bring clarity to complex scenarios
• Proficiency with SQL, GSuite, Excel/ Sheets, Miro, Data Studio, Looker, and equivalent software packages
• Effective collaborator who is able to work across the organization to gather and understand different types of data and processes
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Fluent in English in written and spoken form, German is beneficial
• Industrial engineering and experience of working in a Fulfillment Center or Supply Chain environment would be beneficial
• Clear track record of working effectively in cross-functional team situations
• An ability to hit the ground running – a confident, entrepreneurial self-starter
