THE ROLE

As a data architect, you will work closely with other colleagues in the business intelligence and engineering team to help design, build new or migrate existing data solutions to Google Cloud for our clients.

With responsibilities to:

  • Lead the analysis, design and execution of state-of-the-art data-centric solutions using the best of Google technologies
    • Be an expert in the transformation, storage, retrieval, security and governance of data
    • Direct our analytics engineers to build against your target architecture
    • Understand various data modelling techniques including 3NF, Data Vault, Star Schema, One Big Table (OBT). You should have the ability to express the merits of each approach and their suitability to a client's specific needs. You should understand how to optimise the implementation of such models within a columnar database such as BigQuery
  • Work with our Architecture and Strategy teams to inform data strategy:
    • Data governance;
    • Data modelling;
    • Ensuring data quality and integrity;
    • Data management, security, and privacy;
    • Optimal ways of working;
  • Work with our Architecture, Engineering & Data Science teams to design a fully integrated solution which encompasses:
    • Cloud best practices
    • Ingestion approach
    • Feature engineering approach
    • Production readiness
  • You will design solutions based off our key partners technology, some of which are:
    • Google Cloud Platform
    • dbt Labs
    • Snowflake
    • Fivetran
