Using your eye for business and creative problem solving, you will build data products and generate insights that will allow our business and product leaders to make better-informed decisions. The ideal teammate is someone who has the skills to unearth insights from large volumes data and communicate those insights in a way that persuades action by senior leaders, product managers, designers, marketers and engineers. You'll use SQL, R, and/or Python often, but you won't be at your desk all day. Part of your job is to improve the data literacy of your stakeholders teaching people when, where, and how to harness the data available.
You’ll support product teams predominantly in Bangalore, California and Sydney that work hard to improve our Commerce Platform which powers the subscription, billing and payment engine for all of Atlassian customers.
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
A proven experience applying your analytics skills to projects which have had a positive impact on strategic and product roadmap decisionsStrong ability to communicate. Explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences, crafting compelling stories, and managing multiple stakeholdersExpertise and experience in working with very large data sets in SQLExpertise and experience in modelling and visualisation in a data programming language (Python, R, etc.)Proficiency in one or more analytics and visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Mode, Power BI)Expertise in foundational statistics (data distributions, inferential statistics, probability etc.) and modelling (regression, classification, clustering etc.)
It's great, but not required if you have:
Familiarity with event-based analytics, data instrumentation and loggingExperience in breaking down complex problems using MECE frameworksExperience in designing and analysing experiments that drive key decisionsExperience working in a global environment with remote teamsKnowledge of and experience with widely-used workplace collaboration tools and integrations between those toolsAn understanding of the SaaS development, business model and metricsAre an active member of the broader analytics and data science community More about our teamThe Commerce system at Atlassian processes millions of dollars every week.
