The Role at a Glance


We are excited to bring on a Data Quality Consultant to our Workplace Solutions Data Governance team to work in a hybrid-flex environment.


 

Background Details
In the Data Quality Consultant role you will be a member of an experienced, collaborative, and dynamic team identifying data quality improvement opportunities and partnering with the business to enhance data quality and accuracy.  The ability to make connections among people and across data sets is crucial to the success of this position.  The ideal candidate enjoys analyzing raw data for patterns and problem solving.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintain: Retirement Plan Services Valuation and Hedging data extracts.
  • Analyze: Understand the data challenges and business considerations to deliver actionable recommendations and insights.
  • Research: Uncover data and product updates, develop test plans, and perform testing as needed. 
  • Collaborate:  Be a data resource for IT and business partners to analyze complex trends in data or information. Organize and document findings in a clear, systematic fashion, and present recommendations to various levels of management and other key stakeholders. 
  • Innovate and automate:  Enhance current processes.  Identify and direct the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality and create efficiencies across the team, department and/or business unit. 
  • Provide analysis and gap identification of business processes, metrics or technology that represent data quality risks.

What we’re looking for

Must-haves:

  • 4 Year/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years in SQL and other data analysis tools including ability to comfortably work with large data sets in Excel
  • Demonstrate ability to build queries in Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Developer/Dataiku and data knowledge (understanding general data structures, database design, views, table, etc.) 
  • Ability to analyze information and evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution
  • Ability to navigate data from multiple admin systems, and various products and features
  • Ability to think critically to identify and solve potential challenges
  • Comfort with ambiguity
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders and influence outcomes

 

Nice-to-haves:  

  • Experience using data analysis techniques to develop operational reporting, quality data and/or operational metrics 
  • 3-5+ Years of group benefits, retirement plan, or financial services experience
  • Retirement product and general insurance knowledge 
  • Experience with Fort Wayne Vantage, TRAC/SmartDesk, RS/XNET, APS and Penfacts/GPAS Administration Systems

Pay Range: $67,000 - $120,700 

 

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
