YOU WILL HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO:

Consult:

  • Partner, collaborate and build relationships with Appnovation’s customers, business development, client services, strategy and design teams focusing on leveraging data to solve complex business problems
  • Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to ask relevant questions, understand their key business challenges and identify opportunities for data science to make a meaningful impact.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and solutions involving data and technology for clients as part of regular client reviews, meetings, engagements and discovery opportunities.
  • Conceive, plan, and prioritize data projects across a variety business verticals and levels of complexity

Build

  • Develop strategic roadmaps, project outlines and detailed action plans for clients as part of larger initiatives.
  • Create measurement strategies and frameworks for clients that are aligned to their strategic needs. Includes Return on Market Investment (‘ROMI’) measurement, marketing mix modelling and optimization
  • Conduct detailed audits and reviews of client data-related technologies, identifying gaps and opportunities to improve data-as-asset.
  • Work with strategy to conduct discovery workshops and interview with stakeholders to identify key priorities & challenges
  • Work with technology to define data solutions, infrastructure, and architecture.
  • Work with data scientists and developers to build out analytic systems, predictive models, reports and visualizations for clients

Share

  • Support and advocate for ongoing internal knowledge capture and sharing
  • Educate staff members through ongoing training and individual support
  • Communicate and present solutions to non-technical business users

JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate will think about strategy & business impact and can translate the ambitions of managers and executives to concrete data-driven initiatives & specific actions. Through a well-developed mix of communication, leadership and technical skills, you will help clients navigate the complexities of how to make the most of and evolve data within their organizations. The individual will report directly to the Director, Data Science and Analytics.

Must Haves:

  • 5+ years of data strategy and analytics experience with progressively increasing responsibilities
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary analytics including marketing mix modelling (‘MMM’), digital measurement strategy, and digital media optimization reporting
  • A solid understanding of machine learning, data management, and visualization techniques
  • Strong communication skills – written, verbal and interpersonal skills – in a team-based and consultative environment.
  • Ability to anticipate, identify and find solutions to challenges that impact team and individual deliverables
  • Understanding of the key components of MarTech stack
  • Affinity with data science and the analytics ecosystem (but no need to be a programmer)
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with digital marketing platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
  • Knowledge of leading BI platforms such as Tableau, DOMO, Power BI, and
  • LookerAgency/Consultancy experience
  • Experience using SQL, Python and other data manipulation languages to conduct business analysis
  • Experience within the Pharmaceutical vertical

  • You are passionate about technology including data, analytics, machine learning, and AI, but know when and where they are best applied
  • You are able to distill complex concepts into easily understood implications, and be able to explain them to clients to drive action
  • You keep up to date on the latest trends, technologies and thinking in the data analytics and insights space
  • You have strong business acumen, able to understand the linkages between your deliverables and client value
  • You are able to work in a fast paced environment, similar to a startup, comfortable with uncertainty and effective in delivering iterative solutions
  • You understand the business strategy and drivers, and also know the technology and analytics well enough to know what the IT, BI and data scientists can do and how they can solve client problems
  • You have customer-first mindset and a devotion to customer service
