Role Purpose:

LevelTen Energy is seeking an experienced data analytics professional to model platform metrics, fulfill data requests and perform analysis on various energy market datasets. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Operational Analytics.  

This role is based in Seattle and offers the option of a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office (in the Belltown neighborhood) and 2 days at home. Remote candidates will not be considered at this time.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Product team to design and track product health metrics.
  • Run data requests and reports for the Customer Engagement team and for external reporting.
  • Build and maintain data visualizations for internal decision-making.
  • Analyze datasets such as electricity prices, interconnection queues, grid emissions, etc.
  • Write documentation on internal datasets and analytics workflows.
  • Present and explain analytical results to large non-techincal audiences.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in data analytics and data visualization.
  • Proven analytical skills, with a focus on data wrangling and exploratory analysis.
  • Experience in MS Excel, Python scripting, SQL, and Tableau is required. Specific experience with pandas/polars/duckdb, dbt/Tableau Prep, Jupyter Notebooks, MySQL/PostgreSQL/BigQuery and version control is preferred.
  • Strong communications skills and the ability to message complex issues to a diverse audience.
  • Interest in financial modeling is a plus.
  • Experience in renewable energy, electricity markets, or sustainability is a plus.

 

Additional Details

  • This position is based out of our office in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle, WA (hybrid work schedule). 
  • The estimated compensation for this position is $90,000 - $100,000  per year, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus and an equity grant.
