Big Data/Analytics Solution Architect

Within this framework, we are looking for an agile and highly-motivated Big Data/Analytics Solution Architect to join a team of future shapers.

The Big Data/Analytics Solution Architect is responsible for understanding and documenting end user usage models, technical and business requirements, and designing Big Data and Analytics HW and SW solutions architecture to meet those models and requirements.

The solution architect is also responsible to define and agree with end users “proofs of concept” (PoCs) to test solution architectures in testbed or real end user environments together with ecosystem partners

A strong candidate will have a solution architecture focus, with:

• Experience in Requirements Engineering, Design, Development and Deployment
• A broad set of technical skills and knowledge across hardware, software and systems.
• Strong technical team leadership, mentorship and collaboration.
• Ability to develop technical relationships with clients and engineers.
• Strong communication skills with ability to communicate market trends and potential impacts effectively to the client

A strong candidate will also have a data focus, with:

• Experience developing highly performant dynamic data flows in SQL.
• Understanding of traditional ETL tools & RDBMS for End to End Data Pipelines
• Experience in development of data visualization solutions with leading tools
• Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse principles
• Experience with any of the following technologies:

1. The Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive etc.) including NoSQL technologies (HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB etc.)

2. Hyperscalers Big Data ecosystems, including Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon AWS

3. Other Big Data & Analytics state of the art solutions, including IBM Cloud Pak for Data, Snowflake, Data bricks

• Familiarity with Cloudera Distribution and Search Engines (Elastic Search, Solr etc.) is considered a plus

Requirements

• University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Science & Technology or related field
• Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Operational Research, Business Analytics
• Demonstrated 3-5 years’ experience in real world Big Data solutions
