Job Description Summary

The Intermediate Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for supporting the development of the Business Intelligence and Analytics products This person will be responsible for the measurement, analysis and reporting of productivity and sales metrics within an assigned business group. As well as handles report construction and assists with analysis and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Continuously develops and maintain an understanding of Business Intelligence technology and architecture, including data warehousing, dimensional modeling, reporting tools, and other methods of information delivery.
• Develop & maintains expertise with data prep and wrangling tools.
• Develop understanding of business processes, priorities, and strategy to enable insights based on data and advanced analytics. Execute and deliver BI data solutions to deliver information to end-users accurately and efficiently.
• Analyze, understand, and document user needs to ensure accurate fulfillment of user story requests from internal business customers.
• Contribute to project teams that are developing or modifying highly complex information solutions.
• Resolve technical issues, such as report/query malfunction, lapse in visualization stability/functionality and continuous monitoring of BI products.
• Maintain the BI products, data warehouse, and existing BI toolset.
• May construct data models, data dictionaries, and report glossaries.
• May conduct user interviews and training sessions.
• May mentor teammates on BI tools and methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
• Three years of experience in data analytics, process improvement or other relevant work.
• Understanding of data tools for visualization, extraction, modeling, CRM solutions and SQL.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze and create reports.
• Communication and presentation skills for delivery of reports and analysis.
• Ability to multi-task and work as part of a team in a dynamic and complex environment.
• Proficiency using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in the insurance/financial services industry.
• Experience using Hadoop/Hive, Tableau, SQL, Salesforce.com.

• Office / remote / hybrid environment.

The Salary for this position generally ranges between $68,000 - $95,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential qualifications and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.

Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.
