Amazon Web Services Inc. MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE in New York, NY: 1. Lead, manage and provide guidance on implementing the customers business solution on the AWS cloud platform. Architect, design, develop, and deploy data warehouse solutions that address the customers big data analytical needs and provide business insight. 2. Perform detailed design and analysis of requirements, studying systems capabilities and specifications. 3. Design database model, implement business logic and analytical dashboards/reports on the AWS cloud environment. 4. Perform in-depth analysis of cloud and big data platform to determine new features and solutions for customer needs. 5. Build credibility and maintain communication with key project stakeholders at multiple levels along with technical consultants, including those external to the organization. 6. Collaborate with external customers and partners on key engagements to develop and deliver proof-of-concept projects, technical workshops, and support implementation projects that focus on customer solutions such as HPC, batch data processing, big data analytics, and business intelligence that support and enhance data processing capabilities that allow customers and partners to leverage data and develop business insights. 7. Collaborate with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS services such as amazon elastic compute cloud (EC2), amazon data pipeline, S3, Dynamodb (NOSQL), relational database service (RDS), elastic map reduce (EMR) and amazon redshift. 8. Deliver on-site technical engagements with partners and customers, which include participating in pre-sales on-site visits, understanding customer requirements, creating consulting proposals and creating packaged big data service offerings. 9. Manage delivery engagements that include short on-site projects proving the use of AWS services to support new distributed computing solutions that span private cloud and public cloud services, migration of existing applications and development of new applications using AWS cloud services. 10. 50% domestic travel required to Amazon offices and client sites.
A Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related database management or design role.
